On this dial, one simple marker was placed at the 12 o-clock position to symbolize the sun at its peak at noon. The "diamond version" featured in today's offering is another iteration of the Museum watch, a masterpiece selected by the Museum of Modern Art for its permanent collection in 1960.
Speaking about the Museum Watch, Greta Daniel of the Museum of Modern Art commented to the watch's designer, Nathan George Horwitt: "...I found that the continuously changing relationship of the moving hands to the 12 o'clock it created attractive geometric patterns which were fascinating to observe. It is in gorgeous all-original condition.
The case is mint, nearly new-old-stock with its original factory brushed finish. The untouched original dial with three Omega factory set diamonds is mint as well.
One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it, its first servicing since leaving the factory.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new Teju strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
